International airlines have announced they are set to resume operating India-Dubai flights starting June 23.
Emirates, Lufthansa, Air India, KLM Royal Dutch, Go Air, and flyDubai are offering services allowing UAE nationals and stranded travelers to book flights.
Some airlines are offering a connecting flight to Dubai including Air India. Air India’s flight from Delhi would bring the traveller to Frankfurt, where a connecting flight of Lufthansa will fly the passenger to Dubai.
It comes after the Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster in Dubai revised travel protocols for inbound passengers from India.
Only passengers with a valid residence visa and are fully vaccinated of the COVID-19 vaccines approved by the UAE health regulators are allowed to travel to Dubai.
The following are approved vaccines in the UAE:
Sinopharm
Sputnik V
AstraZeneca
Pfizer-Biontech
Travelers should also present a negative PCR test result taken 48 hours prior to departure; UAE nationals are exempted from this requirement.
Only QR-coded test certificates are accepted.
Inbound passengers are also required to undergo a rapid PCR test four hours prior to departure to Dubai as well as another PCR test on arrival at Dubai Airport.
All travellers arriving from India will undergo mandatory quarantine until they receive their PCR test result. UAE citizens and diplomats are exempted from mandatory quarantine.
