The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said that it is mounting another repatriation fight for stranded overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in the United Arab Emirates on June 30.
In a Facebook post, DFA Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs Sarah Lou Y. Arriola said that stranded OFWs in the Gulf country who wish to join the next repatriation flight may contact the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi or General Consulate in Dubai.

On June 16, the DFA has brought home a total of 325 distressed Overseas Filipino Workers. This was the third flight for UAE especially chartered by the DFA this year.
The latest group of repatriates, which included 88 pregnant distressed Overseas Filipinos, was cordially welcomed by DFA-OUMWA upon arrival in Manila.
“To our kababayans in distress, we hear you. We are here for you,” stated DFA Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs Sarah Lou Y. Arriola said in a statement.
“This recent arrival is a clear testament to our commitment to bring you home,” she added.
Meanwhile, the previous chartered flight from the UAE last 31 May 2021, brought home 396 overseas Filipinos.
The repatriates will undergo stringent facility-based quarantine provided by the Philippine government, in conformity with the health protocols set by the Department of Health (DOH) – Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) and shall be subjected to RT-PCR Testing for COVID19.
