A carinderia cook vendor was caught on video returning the food that fell on the ground and put it back on his pan.
In a GMA News report, the cook returned the food from the ground that slipped from his pan after a quick wash.
The food vendor was selling his products in Binondo, Manila.

“Dumulas po. Papakuluan ko pa lang po tapos dumulas. Hinugasan naman po at tsaka prinito ko naman sa mantika,” the vendor told GMA News.
The vendor however decided not to sell the food after the interview.

Experts said that after the first second the food touches the ground, 1% of the germs on the ground will be attached to the food.

Leaving the food for 5 seconds means accumulating 20% of the germs in the food.
“Ang ating pagkain kapag ito’y bumagsak sa lupa, ito’y magkakaroon na ng mikrobiyo sa unang segundo palang sa pagbagsak niya,” Microbiologist Dr. Thomas Dela Cruz told GMA News.
The doctor reminds Filipinos said that once the food goes to the ground, people should let it go. (TDT)
