The Kingdom of Bahrain will not be issuing any new work permits for expats coming in from the ‘red list’ countries, the Labor Market Regulatory Authority announced last June 13.
Bahrain suspended the entry of travellers coming in from the countries on the red list that included India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Vietnam.
Noting that this directive is only applicable to those outside the kingdom, the authority had announced on its website that the directive focused on strengthening the kingdom’s efforts in overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic.
