The Philippines has vaccinated at least 85% of its healthcare workers according to the Department of Health.
At least 1.3 million health workers have received their first vaccine dose according to Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje in a media briefing.
Health workers belong to the A1 priority group in the government’s national vaccination plan.

“Karamihan po ng ating nabakunahan, iyong tinatawag nating priority A1. Nasa 85 percent na po tayo ng ating A1 ng first dose na master listed,” Cabotaje said.
Most of the remaining health workers needrd to be vaccinated are in the province.
“Kailangan natin pong hikayatin ang ating mga barangay health workers, ating members ng barangay emergency response teams. Medyo nag-aatubili pa sila,” Cabotaje said.

The Department of Health has reported 5,310 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, May 26.
The new cases brings the total to 1,193,976. The total active cases or the people currently infected with the virus is now at 46,037. (TDT)
