1. Manager-partner marketing & communication (Marcoms)
The Marketing & Communications team is responsible for the overall positioning of Expo 2020 in domestic and international markets. This includes creating compelling stories and campaigns for a wide range of audiences across a breadth of platforms, liaising with internal and external stakeholders including Partners and International Participants to ensure consistency in message and identify opportunities for collaboration, and building relationships with local and international media.
Candidates must be a Bachelor’s Degree holder in Marketing with at least six years of experience in Marketing & Communications, with preferable Account Management or Partner management experience. Another skill they are looking for is the ability to read, write, and speak Arabic.
2. Account Executive – Partner Marketing and Communication
The purpose of the Account Executive/Officer – Partner Marketing & Communications is to contribute to the coordination and delivery of a 360 Marcoms plan for a portfolio of sponsorship partners in their journey to and throughout the Event.
It requires someone who has at least one year of experience in Marketing & Communications, with preferable Account Exec or Partner management experience as well as a Bachelor’s degree within the relevant field. They are also looking for some who can read, write, and speak in Arabic.
3. Manager, Social Content
The Manager, Social Content, will play a collaborative cross-functional role between marketing and communications to amplify all their activities on social media. The role is also responsible for the overall social media management for Expo 2020 and all content ideation, planning and development alongside campaign execution and social monitoring, and community management.
The job requires over six years of experience with social media channels; a Bachelor’s degree within a relevant field; deep understanding of the UAE social media scene, culture and trends; experience of working on global social media campaigns for international markets; strong understanding of social media measurement and insights as well as overall digital analytics; and proven experience working on influencer marketing campaigns, excellent project management skills. Arabic language skill is a must.
4. Assistant Manager, Social Media Monitoring
The main responsibilities of the role include monitoring the Expo 2020’s social media ecosystem and channels; work closely with the head of social media on identifying trending topics and build the social media reporting model for Expo’s owned content. The candidate should have over four-year of experience, a Bachelor’s degree within a relevant field; deep understanding of the UAE social media scene and experience of using social media reporting tools and strong understanding of the native tools each social platform has to offer. Arabic language is a plus.
5. Head of Marketing – Specialist Programme
The role include define and promote a clear value proposition for all component streams of the specialist programme, with a specific focus on the business Programme; identify marketing and communications opportunities to support and enhance the relevance and reach of existing programmes to key audiences; develop a sales and marketing plan specifically targeting the B2B audience with specific targets for generating over 1 million business passes to corporates and take a holistic response to defining the strategic positioning of the specialist programme. The candidates applying for the position must have over 11-year of experience, a Bachelor’s Degree, and experience in delivering multi-channel campaigns, including ATL, social media, email, events and online promotions.
6. Senior Manager- Programming
One needs to ensure that an effective management of the required production contractors and suppliers to deliver the projects; manage the risk management framework and ensure the contractor’s compliance with reporting appropriate risk mitigation measures and contingency plans; and lead planning of event time integration of production contractor/s with the wider department and Expo team. People with over 8-year experience, experience with planning and delivery of large-scale ceremonies and shows; knowledge of mega event operational planning and delivery; excellent negotiating, communication and interpersonal skills should apply for this position.
7. Manager – Programming
The main responsibilities of the role include liaise with the Expo relevant departments, support the integration with other events and entertainment projects, contractors and suppliers; and lead planning of the production contractor/s event time integration with the wider department and Expo team and support any requirements of Expo Readiness and testing related to the projects. Candidates need over six-year experience in project management and major events delivery, as well as a Bachelor’s educational degree within a relevant field; and experience in delivering large, complex programmes of work.
8. Senior Manager – Specialist Programme
The main responsibilities of the role include design and deliver Expo Specialist Programme tools and structure, including theme weeks and theme week events, and linkage with International Days and other areas of programming; content development and design for thematic areas across all five programme pillars, including developing concepts for all new Specialist Programme events; manage vendor relationships and lead conversations with International Participants, manage Specialist Programme Office hours, key liaison with Country Managers and Specialist Programme Working Group (SPWG) members; and develop content about Expo’s specialist programme. Candidates with over eight-year experience in international development or global affairs, as well as experience in managing high-level government, policy international organisation, private sector stakeholders; and ability to lead, command respect and to create a sense of cohesion and support in the Director General’s team will be selected for the post.
9. Lead Manager, Production Control
The main responsibilities of the role include lead the planning, testing and operations for Site Wide Sound, Vision and Lighting control systems across the Expo 2020 Site; recruit and manage the team of operational control staff; and be responsible for daily monitoring and reporting of actions and issues. The candidates must have over eight years of experience in a manager role working on a previous major event programme, leisure attraction, or large precinct environment with specific experience related to C3 safety operations, public address voice alarm (PAVA) systems, digital screen control and/or site wide lighting systems, as well as a bachelor’s degree within a relevant field; and Thorough understanding of site wide control systems.
10. Senior Accountant Inventory
The main responsibilities of the role include align with the logistics team to ensure the accuracy of the stock in the warehouse; assist and be the main finance stake holder in the reviewing and the reconciliation process between the SAP financials and the Warehouse Management System (WMS); participate in the periodic warehouse stock counts; and coordinate with different stakeholders from the business, procurement and supply chain to ensure proper structure of items master data for all tactical assets in order to have a common language across the organization.
The individuals must have over two-year experience in the events industry, as well as a Bachelor’s degree within a relevant degree (Major in Accounting); SAP Knowledge; and over three-year experience of warehouse and inventory experience.
11. Senior Accountant – Ticketing
The main responsibilities of the role include maintaining credit limit schedule of each authorized ticket reseller; assist in reviewing and checking of reseller agreements; ensures invoices are posted correctly in the system; liaising with end user departments on the delivery of the Invoices, and invoice dispute settlement; monitoring of bank receipts and collection; and ensuring payment securities are received as per the agreement and liaising with the treasury department for safekeeping . The job requires over two-year experience in the events industry, as well as a Bachelor’s degree within a relevant field (Major in Accounting); advanced Excel skills; and knowledge of SAP financials.
12. Online Retail Assistant Manager
The main responsibilities of the role include daily monitoring the store’s pages ensuring functionality – both Arabic and English; flagging and correcting any errors found among all involved parties; quality control and quality assurance of the online store’s pages; content creation, including the production of visual merchandising of the online store as per the merchandising plan; manage the library of all creative assets; coordinate regular photoshoots with all involved parties (logistics, licensees, studios, the creative studio); and monitor customer reviews and rating. The applicant need to have over four years e-commerce or digital marketing experience, with basic Photoshop/graphic artist experience, as well as fluent in English and Arabic; experience of Microsoft packages, and digital marketing experience.
13. Payroll Officer
The main responsibilities of the role include on time input all payroll related entries like, educational allowance, travel claim reimbursements, loans or salary advances, overtime entries, etc. received through employee self-service or direct entries on to SAP, as applicable, by validating them in line with policy guidelines; ensure proper validation of all supporting documents or necessary approvals; prepare accurate and on-time end of service of departing employees, and ensuring the exit checklist and applicable clearance and it’s compliance and obtain necessary approvals and employee sign off on required documents.
Candidates applying for the job need to have over two-year experience in managing the payroll of a large organization, hands-on experience in payroll input and processing, including familiarization with UAE labour law and UAE/GCC pensions regulations; and well-versed in MS Office and SAP HR systems and should be an expert in MS -Excel.
14. Manager – Staffing
The main responsibilities of the role include lead on the design, development and implementation of the site operations training strategy; participate in and provide subject matter expertise with regards to the bid processes for outsourced positions; support the recruitment and onboarding of STM paid staff through various methodologies including the Emiratisation Programme, Expo Generation Programme and Secondee Programme; work with the volunteers and workforce teams to ensure the numbers of Site Operations volunteers required through dot plans is met taking into account multipliers and looking for efficiencies/synergies across the zones, sectors and areas Site Operations will operate; and ensure continuity plans are in place to ensure six months of operations are uninterrupted for site operations from a recruitment perspective.
The candidate with over six-year of experience in a manager role working on a previous major event programme/Site sized equivalent; experience on planning schedules, shifts and roster for a large team with multiple individual situation related; and experience in managing contractors can apply for the post.
15. Senior Manager – Sales Performance
The Senior Manager – Sales Performance role is to translate company missions and objectives into measurable goals and targets, for the division, the teams and the individuals, in order to achieve company business performance.
The main roles for this position include design & implement a performance management framework and system for the sales, marketing and communications division at different hierarchy level (division, department and team level) along which implement a performance management structure of data collection, analysis and reporting for the division; create a performance management culture in the division in order to ensure all decisions and investments of the Sales, is data and performance driven, measurable and reported upon; advise and recommends on Sales budget and investment strategy in order to maximize performance and manage the Performance team, overseeing team objectives and the delivery of business performance solutions and projects; and among others.
This requires at least eight years of experience, a Bachelor degree or similar in business, marketing or related fields, strong technical computer skills – Microsoft Office; commercial Understanding, Market and Trend analysis experience; and must be fluent in Business English and Arabic language skills.
16. Lead Manager – Event Health & Safety
The position will be responsible for supporting implementation of the event health & safety strategy and management arrangements to ensure that event time operations are managed to the highest possible standards, in line UAE legislation and other applicable requirements.
Candidates must have at least eight years of experience at a senior event health & safety level – Senior Manager, Head or Director; a Bachelor’s degree in health and safety or equivalent; deep understanding of event health & safety guidelines and legal requirements – both nationally and internally; experience of working in a senior and high-pressure environment with excellent communication and report writing abilities to Board level; excellent organizational and motivational skills; exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities; and valid qualification in occupational health & safety.
17. Zone Operations Manager
The purpose of the Zone Operations Manager (ZOM) is to contribute to the operational readiness and delivery of a particular area within the Expo2020 Site. This role will be expected to work with a number of internal business functions, departments and external partners to ensure the delivery of an exceptional Expo2020.
It requires at least six years experience in a similar role working on a previous major event program or leisure attraction with specific experience related to Site Operations Management and operational delivery (or has demonstrated the behavioural aptitude to deliver at this level), as well as a Bachelor’s degree within a relevant field; excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills; program or project manager experience supporting large complex projects; knowledge across all key event operational functions, understanding the Site Operations Management dependencies with other operational departments; experience in working in a multi-cultural organisation, GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) region desirable; and experience in enhancing/developing teams to quickly mobilise them ready for operations.
18. Manager, Site Control
The purpose of the Site Control Manager is to ensure the seamless delivery of operations across the Expo2020 site and assisting with cross zonal coordination of operations.
This role needs at least 6+ years demonstrated experience in a senior role working on a previous major (mega) event program, large scale Site/Park or leisure attraction. Experience in building strong teams quickly and enhancing/developing them ready for operations and delivery, as well as: a Bachelor’s degree within a relevant field; ability to demonstrate an understanding of key event operational functions and their dependencies on one another; understanding of Command, Control & Coordination (C3) processes, including the creation of talk groups and radio networks across a multi-Function Event; excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills; program / project manager experience supporting large complex projects; and ability to collaborate and integrate well with other business functions.
19. Assistant Manager, Training Operations
The purpose of the Assistant Manager, Training Operations role is to support the Learning and Development team with managing the training operations for all Event Time Training. Working closely with the wider team, they will be responsible for setting up and managing the Expo 2020 event time training center(s), with all the necessary logistics required including branding, technical equipment, scheduling and managing the day-to-day training operations.
The skills needed for this position include 4+ years’ experience in training operations, as well as a Bachelor’s degree within a relevant field; strong written and verbal communication skills; immediate to advanced user of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel; proficient in learning and utilising IT systems to effectively manage data; team player with strong “people” skills; flexible and resilient, ability to perform in a “fluid” working environment.
20. Venue Operations Manager – Al Wasl
The purpose of the Venue Operations Manager (VOM) – Al Wasl is to lead on the smooth operational alignment of all activities in Al Wasl Plaza. This role will be a critical leadership position and will be expected to work with a number of internal business functions, departments and external partners to ensure the delivery of an exceptional Expo2020.
This needs at least 6+ years’ experience in a senior role working on a previous major event program or leisure attraction with specific experience related to Site Operations Management and putting the Guest Experience at the heart of decision making and service design, as well as: a Bachelor’s degree within a relevant field; program or project manager experience supporting large complex projects; knowledge across all key event operational functions, understanding the Venue Operations dependencies with the other operational departments; experience in working in a multi-cultural organisation, GCC region desirable; experience in building teams and enhancing/developing them ready for operations; and designing service levels against predefined services, and planning transition to operations.
21. Head of Function – Site Operations
The purpose of the Head of Site Operations is to lead on the operational readiness and delivery across the entire Expo2020 Site. This role is a critical leadership position and will work with a number of internal business functions, departments and external partners to ensure the delivery of an exceptional Expo2020.
This position requires 12+ years’ experience (or has displayed the behavioral aptitude to deliver) in a Head of Department level role working on a previous major event program, equivalent sized Site, or leisure attraction, as well as a bachelor’s degree within a relevant field; experience in building and leading large, strong teams quickly and enhancing/developing them ready for operations and delivery; ability to demonstrate an understanding of key event operational functions and their dependencies on one another; excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills; program / project director experience leading large complex projects; and respect for the opportunities and challenges that working in a multi-cultural organisation in the GCC region presents.
22. Senior Analyst – Sales & Analytics
The Senior analyst purpose is to roll-out a Reporting and Analytics framework for the Marketing department consisting of, but not limited to, Web analytics, Social media analytics, Campaign and paid media reporting, Partner marketing reports, brand activation reports etc., as well as assisting in the development of a strategic Expo 2020 dashboard for senior management.
This position requires 2+ years of relevant experience in media analytics, social media analytics etc, as well as a Bachelor’s degree within a relevant field; must have excellent project and stakeholders management skills, with the mental agility to covers various topics at the same time; experience with working with Google Tag Manager, Google analytics Google Campaign manager etc; experience working with DMP platforms like Bluekai, SAP; experience working with Social media analytics tools like Social Bakers, Brandwatch, sprinkler etc; expertise in ETL process and SQL queries; experience with data visualization tools, such as, Tableau, Qlick or others and statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing and regression; and an Arabic speaker.
23. Manager – Government Communication (UAE national)
The purpose of the Manager – Government Communication is to support the execution of the communication plan, develop and maintain relationships with Government Entities and increase collaboration.
This requires 6+ years experience in project management, with experience in organizing, planning, and executing projects from pursuit through closeout, involving internal personnel, and vendors; a Bachelor’s Degree within a relevant field; build and maintain a vast network of professional relationships with the UAE Government; ability to respond quickly to change, and adapt to a fast-paced internal environment; strong interpersonal skills; strong communication skills (Arabic & English); strong written and oral skills (Arabic & English); fluent in Business English; exhibit negotiation and consultation skills; and excellent communication and presentation skills.
