Chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the UAE Cabinet has approved the move to allow foreign students to bring their families in the country, provided they have the financial means.
This is the latest announcement on the string of approved changes in the residency and citizenship procedures in the country.
In a series of tweets on Sunday, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid recognized the UAE as a “regional educational destination with more than 77 universities and tens of thousands of students annually”.
His Highness twitted: “Today, we also approved changes in the residency and nationality procedures in the country by enabling foreign students to bring their families whenever they have the financial means. The UAE has become a regional educational destination with more than 77 universities and tens of thousands of students annually.
“Our goal is to communicate more with the people and convey our story to the world in new formats, and to develop a new governmental methodology with the new media, which has become the influential media.”
Netizens in the Twitterverse have praised the new UAE Cabinet decision, saying the new generation will benefit from this benevolent move.
