The Dubai Tourism announced on January 21 that it will be suspending all entertainment activities, including issuance of permits amid the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) situation.
The Dubai Media Office, on its official Twitter handle, announced that all the entertainment permits issued in the emirate will be on hold effective immediately.
“To ensure public health and safety, all entertainment permits issued will be on hold effective immediately. @dubaitourism will continue to evaluate the progress with the health authorities,” the office said in a tweet.
Dubai authorities said that they have closed at least 20 establishments for violating COVID-19 health protocols.
The UAE has confirmed 3,506 new coronavirus cases, 6 deaths, and 3,746 recoveries on Wednesday.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the UAE has now breached 263,729.
Total recoveries were at 235,421 but the death toll has not climbed to 762. (TDT)
