UAE mandates Federal employees who are not yet vaccinated to get PCR tests every 7 days

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) will soon be requiring Federal government employees to undergo PCR test every seven days if they will not be vaccinated against COVID-19.

The circular released by the FAHR is set to take effect on January 24.

In a Gulf News report, the decision made by the Federal government is in line with UAE’s efforts to address the pandemic and protect the health of the working environment.

All employees, outsourced staff, public services employees, consultants and experts will be covered by the said circular.

The federal authorities will shoulder the expenses for the weekly PCR tests until they got vaccinated.

Outsourcing companies should also shoulder the expenses of the tests for their employeers who are working full time in government offices.

Experts and consultants are required to present their most recent PCR tests whenever they will engage in government services.

FAHR also said in a circular that federal ministries and authorities should encourage their employees to take the vaccine. (TDT)
