The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) is planning to establish more centers for the increasing numbers of UAE residents willing to take the COVID-19 vaccine.
MoHAP made the announcement following the recent development of surpassing one million vaccine doses administered. The agency announced that the total doses administered stood at 1.39 million as of Wednesday.
Dr. Hussein Abdul Rahman Al Rand, Assistant Undersecretary of Health Centers and Clinics Sector, and Chairman of the National committee for the Implementation of the Provisions of International Health Regulations and Prevention of Pandemics, said this comes in line with the directives of the UAE government.
Currently, MoHAP has established seven centers across the UAE which include the following:
1. Al Barsha Health Center
2. Abeel Health Center
3. Al Mizhar Health Center
4. Hatta Hospital
5. Uptown Occupational Health Screening Center
6. Al Safe primary healthcare center
7. Zabeel Health Center
Those who wish to take the vaccine, Al Rand said, need not book prior appointments.
Instead, they can go directly to centers, hospitals and councils offering the vaccine.
