An Ajman Court has ordered the imprisonment of five Asian nationals for one year in prison after they were caught breaking in and stealing cigarette packs and energy drinks from a warehouse.

The group also stole cash amounting to AED65,000. They will all be deported after serving their jail term.

In a report on Khaleej Times, the owner of the food warehouse reported the incident to the police.

The complainant said that he reviewed the surveillance cameras in his warehouse and saw three men breaking in and destroyed the cameras.

Large amounts of cigarette packs and energy drinks were found missing after the incident.

The group also stole cash from a drawer amounting to AED65,000.

Following an investigation, the police managed to arrest all the suspects.

The first suspect told the group that he would buy the stolen products from them worth AED26,500.

Three of them carried out the robbery while the other waited outside to keep surveillance.

One of the suspects also admitted that they have already divided the stolen money among them.
