The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has announced that the COVID-19 quarantine period was reduced from 14 to 10 days.
However, the shortened quarantine period is only applicable for certain cases.
The 10-day quarantine period is for COVID-19 patients who did not develop any symptoms at the time they were tested positive for the virus.
Patients with mild cases who have fully recovered without the use of fever-reducing medications will also just need 10 days of quarantine.
The shortened quarantine period is also applicable for Individuals who have come in close contact with a COVID-19 patient but did not develop any symptoms.
The DHA added that those who experienced moderate, severe or critical COVID-19 symptoms can only be discharged after testing negative in a PCR test two consecutive times in a span of 24 hours or more. (CC)
