Bill that seeks to oust Trump passed

The US House of Representatives has passed a bill urging US Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove President Donald Trump from office.

The vote is seen as symbolic considering that Pence has resisted moves to remove Trump.

Pence has informed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi through a letter that he did not support invoking the amendment.

“I do not believe that such a course of action is in the best interest of our nation or consistent with our constitution,” Pence said in his letter to Pelosi per report by The National.

The 25th Amendment is a constitutional action that would start the process of removing Trump.

“We’re going to have to fight much harder,” Trump said in a rally on Wednesday, the same day that 25th Amendment was formulated. (CC)
