An Al Ain Court has sentenced an Asian man to death for murdering his roommate.
The murder took place after the two had a drunken dispute that led to a stabbing incident.

The case took place in 2013 and the suspect insisted that he had no intentions of killing the victim.
The defendant said that the victim crouched on him and grabbed him on the neck. The victim also hit him in the face first before he defended himself.

In a report on the Gulf Today, the Public Prosecution charged the suspect with drinking alcohol, murder, and stabbing the victim in the chest.
The Al Ain Court of First Instance sentenced the Asian to 15 years in jail, to be followed by deportation. He was also told to pay Dhs200,000 blood money to the family of the victim. (TDT)
