“That’s our Pfizer”: Locsin said ongoing Pfizer vaccination drive in Singapore should have been for PH

Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin stated that the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination drive in Singapore should have been the allotment for the Philippines.

“That was our Pfizer that went to Singapore,” said Locsin, reacting to a news tweet about the rollout of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in Singapore, making the country among the first in Asia to provide the jab for its residents.

Earlier in December, Locsin said that the first batch of 10 million doses for the Pfizer vaccine should have arrived by January but alleged that “somebody dropped the ball” and refused to name the official.

Senator Panfilo Lacson then alleged that it was Health Secretary Duque who “failed to work on the necessary documentary requirement namely, the Confidentiality Disclosure Agreement, as he should have done.”

“Then, Singapore grabbed and shot the ball,” added Lacson.

On the other hand, Duque denied all allegations stating that the COVID-19 vaccine negotiations with Pfizer is ongoing.
