Sharjah orders food restaurants not to serve traffic violators

The Sharjah municipality urges all food establishments to refrain from serving customers who wait in cars parked in areas reserved for special groups.

The order also applies to those who also randomly cause traffic obstruction in the process.

Sharjah authorities stress that establishments should prioritize customers who wait in regular parking lots, not those violating traffic and parking rules, as per a report from Gulf Today.

The Public Health Division and Central Laboratories has confirmed that the Food Control Department gave the instructions to all food establishments to refrain from serving the customers who park their cars randomly in front of them according to Sheikha Shaza Al Mualla, Assistant Director-General of the Public Health Division and Central Laboratories.

Sharjah Municipality also handed out notices on the importance of following parking and traffic rules.

The Municipality distributed clear notices through which it emphasized the importance of commitment with the instructions and warned about the measures that would be taken against those who fail to abide by them, she added.

Regular inspection of parking lots is also being conducted to check if there are misuse parking spaces.

Sharjah Municipality recently rolled out 400 touch-screen parking meters to improve services and smart services to its customers. (TDT)
