Authorities in Ajman have closed two shopping centers due to the management’s failure to abide by the UAE’s precautionary measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Majed Al Suwaidi, Manager of Inspection & Follow-up Section at Ajman’s Department of Economic Development, stated that the emirate has been conducting extensive inspection campaigns to check if each and every business in the area is in compliance with the country’s standards when it comes to preventing the spread of the virus.

“Inspection Team dealt only with two shopping centers which showed leniency on abiding by such measures”. Both centers were temporarily shut down for the public safety and health and they will be opened later after ensuring all conditions and requirements are complied with”, said Al Suwaidi in their official statement.
Al Suwaidi stressed the importance of compliance of all economic facilities in emirate of Ajman with the precautionary measures, indicating that inspection visits will continue to ensure the universal adherence to the circulars issued by the competent entities and avoid any administrative and legal sanctions against offenders.
