Returning Filipinos, OFWs get swab test results at NAIA in 12 hours

The Philippine Coast Guard shared that returning Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and residents can get their swab test results for coronavirus disease in as fast as 12 hours.

Jocelyn Rivac said that apart from OFWs, returning residents like her were able to benefit from the fast swab test results.

“MABILIS, MAGINHAWA, AT MAAASAHANG SERBISYO ng pamahalaan para sa LIGTAS NA REPATRIATION sa kasagsagan ng COVID-19 pandemic,” she said.

In 12 hours she was able to get her negative COVID-19 results which was conducted by Coast Guard medical personnel at the One-Stop Shop at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2.

The Coast Guard hopes this would encourage more returning residents and OFWs that there is now a system in place for arriving Filipinos.

Early this year, thousands of OFWs have been stranded in quarantine facilities as the releasing and processing of swab test results took almost a month.
