KNOW THE LAW: AED30,000 fine for private tutoring in homes

Legal experts have warned the public about private tutoring at the homes of students, noting that it constitutes a fine between AED20,000 at AED30,000 once proven.

As the UAE enforces strict measures against coronavirus disease (COVID-19), lawyers have reiterated that private tutoring sessions in public or private spaces are deemed illegal due to the breach in social-distancing rules.

Those caught conducting the lessons will be fined AED30,000 while the person who arranged for the venue of the class will be slapped with a AED20,000 fine.
