The Dubai Economy has ordered the closure of a restaurant in Dubai’s Al Safa 2 area for not adhering to COVID-19 preventive measures.
“Dubai Economy closed a restaurant in Al Safa Second area for not adhering to the precautionary measures, specifically social distancing,” Dubai Economy said in a tweet.
Nine shops were also fined after their staff were caught not wearing masks and social distancing measures were not observed.
Sixteen other shops also received warning for not applying enough social distancing stickers.
Earlier, the authorities reminded malls and shop owners that “excesses or lack in the enforcement” of COVID-19 protocols put the health safety of their costumers at great risk. They will be dealt with a stiff fines and penalties.
