The Dubai Court of First Instance has sentenced a man for sexually abusing a female jogger in Dubai, reported Gulf News.
The defendant, an Indian national, said he was tempted by the woman’s “beautiful and fit body”.
It happened while the woman was exercising in Bur Dubai last June.
The Dubai Police said they saw victim crying in the area.
“She was terrified and told us that she was exercising when the defendant approached her and told her that she was beautiful. He then touched her breast and escaped,” one of the policemen told the court.
“He admitted to touching the woman because he said he liked her beautiful and agile body. He kept apologising, but we noticed that he was drunk,” the police added.
The court has scheduled the hearing on September 16 and the defendant is currently in detention.
