WATCH: Massive fire engulfs Ajman market

A huge fire engulfed the Iranian souq in Ajman’s new industrial area on Wednesday.

The blaze broke out at around 6:30 p.m. and several fire fighting teams were seen rushing to the site. It took four hours before the fire was put out.

No casualty has been reported since the souq has been closed for months now due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Most parts of the market completely collapsed and burned to the ground.

Authorities cordoned off the area for an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.

The nearby Ajman Speciality Hospital was evacuated as a precautionary measure.

A netizen named Annoni Manlunas Mercado sent The Filipino Times a video showing the extent of the fire.
