PH breaches 115,000-mark in COVID-19 cases as it confirms 3,462 newly infected patients

DOH also confirms 222 new recoveries, 9 new deaths

The Department of Health has announced that the Philippines has already surpassed the 115,000-mark in the number of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases as it records 3,462 new cases. The total number now stands at 115,980.

DOH has also confirmed that the recoveries in the country now stands at 66,270, after 222 patients have successfully recouped from the virus.

In addition, the department announced 9 new fatalities, bringing the total number to 2,123

President Rodrigo Duterte has reverted the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) status in Metro Manila until August 18, along with Laguna, Cavite, Rizal, and Bulacan.
