Sharjah has begun reopening its public beaches in the Emirate since Monday, Aug. 3.
The announcement was made through the Instagram account of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau.
However, the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management team reminded the public to “adhere to all precautionary measures and social distancing to ensure the health and safety of community members”.
Closure of public beaches was part of the precautionary measures taken by the emirate to limit the spread of the deadly coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The reopening marks the gradual lifting of restrictions in the emirate.
