Bahrain has announced that it will offer medicine home deliveries for people with chronic illnesses, as well as those vulnerable to coronavirus disease (COVID-19), The Daily Tribune News of Bahrain reported.
The initiative, launched by the Ministry of Interior together with the Department of Health and Social Affairs, is part of the Kingdoms’ commitment to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and protect the people at higher risks for the virus.
Currently, volunteers from the different departments of the ministry are taking part in the said campaign—which has the theme “Your Health a Treasure.”
The new service is already being done in the UAE, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi delivering the maintenance medicine of residents with chronic illnesses straight to their doorstep.
