Jeddah PCG officials promoted to Class III Foreign Service Officers

Two officers of the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah (Jeddah PCG) were promoted to Foreign Service Officer, Class III after President Rodrigo Duterte recently signed their appointment papers.
The newly-appointed officers are Vice-Consul Sheila Mae Alinsangan-Briones, Head of the Consulate’s Consular Section, and Vice-Consul Alfred Kristoffer Guiang, Administrative Officer and Head of the Cultural Section.

Vice-Consul Briones is a lawyer by profession with a Juris Doctor at the University of the Philippines-Diliman. Prior to her posting to Jeddah PCG, she was assigned as Principal Assistant at the Department of Foreign Affairs’ Office of American Affairs and Office of Consular Affairs, respectively.
Vice-Consul Guiang was a high school teacher before joining the foreign service. He is a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education at the Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas. He was previously with the DFA’s Office of ASEAN Affairs before his assignment to Jeddah PCG.

“The promotion of our Consulate officers shows how cause and effect is at play in the grander scheme of things. For every good action that one does, there is a good outcome, and the promotion of Vice Consuls Briones and Guiang is an effect of their good work in the performance of their duties and responsibilities at the Consulate,” said Consul General Ed Badajos.
