The Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in China has requested schools and universities to excuse Bahraini students from attending classes amid the Coronavirus outbreak, The Daily Tribune News of Bahrain reported.
The Embassy’s Cultural Attaché Office has sent a circular to educational institutions to allow Bahraini students to have their holidays extended in order to keep their citizens safe. The said request followed the posts of several citizens requesting to facilitate the return of the students from China.

“Due to the recent event of coronavirus breakout through the country, we kindly ask you to excuse our Bahrain students from either attending the university classes or the internship programmes in the meantime until further notice from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Beijing,” The Daily Tribune News of Bahrain quoted the circular as stating.

The novel coronavirus, which started in Wuhan City, has now claimed 106 lives and has affected nearly 5,000 people around the world.
