Man convicted of 10-year jail time get sentence reduced with constant appeals

A man in Bahrain has recently proven that appealing many times enough can get a convicted person reduced jail time.
In a report by The Daily Tribune News of Bahrain, the Court of Cassation recently reduced the sentence of a man convicted of robbing a cold store to only five years, after the defendant appealed three times before the court.
The High Criminal Court originally sentenced the man to 10 years of imprisonment after evidence showed that he—along with his men—robbed the store in 2014 and threatened the worker there with a gun.
The Daily Tribune News of Bahrain reported that the man appealed for the third time before the Court of Cassation, saying that he had nothing to do with the robbery. The court upheld his initial sentence and gave him five years of jail-time instead.
