A Saudi man was found dead inside his car after he apparently lost his way while on a picnic in the desert, newspapers reported on Thursday.
Police patrols backed by helicopters found the stray man after searching the desert area west of the capital Riyadh most of the day.
Police launched a search operation after the man’s family reported his absence for more than a day, fearing that he got lost in the heart of the desert.
Newspapers said the man was suffering from diabetes and that he was taken to hospital for forensic examination to determine the cause of his death.
