A Bangladeshi domestic worker died after a Kuwaiti man set his family’s house on fire in the Gulf emirate following a dispute.
Police and fire fighting units controlled the blaze after a two-hour battle, but the house was badly damaged and the worker was burnt to death.
Newspapers said the father, his wife, and other members of the family were not at the house at the time of the incident.
Police arrested the 29-year-old Kuwaiti and charged him with arson and murder, the papers said, adding that the defendant’s younger brother told the police about him.
