A GCC national was arrested after assaulting his wife and attempting to murder his son-in-law, The Daily Tribune News of Bahrain reported.
According to High Criminal Court, the defendant allegedly stabbed his son-in-law several times and went on to attack his wife after receiving a call from someone that she was cheating on him.
After the man reportedly received a call about his wife’s affair, he allegedly went to their apartment to confront her. The defendant said that when he entered the bedroom, he saw another man on the bed fully covered with a blanket. He said that he directly stabbed him and was shocked to find out it was his son-in-law.
However, investigations revealed that there was no call made to the man before heading to the apartment.
Medical reports showed that the son-in-law was stabbed in the neck, and that his ear was cut as a result of the attack.
The court files also reported long-time marital issues between the wife and the man.
The defendant has been charged with attempted murder.
