Saudi Arabia took sports to a whole new level as it allows the first ever women’s wrestling match to be held in the Kingdom, Saudi Gazette reported.
The wrestling match by World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. (WWE) will be held on November 7 at King Fahd Stadium. According to WWE, known female wrestlers Natalya and Lacey Evans will face off in the pay-per-view event.
The move to host the women’s wrestling match is in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which also highlights the Kingdom’s priority on attracting tourists from all over the world, as well as boosting the entertainment sector.
Saudi Gazette also reported that the match is part of the Riyadh Season, which features entertainment and arts events for two whole months.
