Filipino organization in Riyadh holds dance contest for a cause

A Filipino organization in Riyadh has organized its first kingdom-wide dance competition this month to not only celebrate Filipino talent, but to help homeless children as well, Saudi Gazette reported.

Adams Worldwide held I Dance KSA Philippines Ball 2019, the biggest dance competition yet for Filipinos in the Kingdom that featured solo, duo, and group dancers. The organization brought together all Filipino dancers from all over Saudi Arabia to showcase their skills from street dancing to different genres on stage.

Saudi Gazette reported that the competition was the brainchild of Marl Ruiz Encinada, a mass communication graduate at New Era University and a talent enthusiast.

“I Dance KSA-Philippines Dance sports competition is one of the most sought-after dance competitions in the Kingdom that brings world-class Filipino talents,” he added.

The Philippine Embassy in Saudi Arabia has also extended its support, as the event was graced by Naive L. Mamhot, attaché-cultural officer and economic assistant.

A huge percentage of the proceeds will also go to Bantay Bata 163, an organization that aims to provide comfort to the neglected and homeless children in the Philippines.
