The Color Run, considered the largest running series in the world, will inaugurate in Riyadh on October 26 with over 15,000 participants, Saudi Gazette reported.
The paint race is one of most popular annual events in the world, hosted in over 40 countries and participated by over seven million runners globally. In this run, joiners will sprint their way along a 5-kilometer course with their bodies covered in different paint colors. The Color Run was first held in the kingdom this year in Khobar, wherein over 10,000 individuals joined.
This October, another The Color Run will be held in Riyadh as part of the Riyadh Season—known as the capital’s biggest entertainment season, with activities catering to various types of leisure like sports, music, fashion, and more.
The marathon in the city will be organized as part of Saudi’s General Entertainment Authority’s efforts to draw top entertainment offerings to the Kingdom, and in line with the Vision 2030 and Quality of Life Program 2020.
The Color Run spokesperson Kristen Biegler said it thrills them to bring The Color Run to Riyadh.
“The response in Khobar was truly amazing and we are extremely excited to bring The Happiest 5k on the Planet to Riyadh,” Saudi Gazette quoted him as saying.
