Expatriates wishing to bring in their wives for a visit to Kuwait must have a monthly salary of at least 150 dinars ($495), according to the Interior Ministry.
The new move from the local government mandates that those who want to bring other relatives for a visit must have a monthly salary of at least 450 dinars ($1,485), as per a statement published in local newspapers.
“Foreigners who want to bring in their wives and children for a visit must have a minimum monthly salary of 150 dinars while those who want to bring other relatives must be paid at least 450 dinars,” it said.
The statement also said there is a ban on grandly visas to drivers and domestic workers from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Yemen.
