Filipino kids and young adults based in Bahrain learned more about the Philippines’ heritage and culture as the Philippine Embassy in Bahrain conducts cultural classes until the end of November.
The Embassy’s WIKKA (Wika, Kultura, at Kasaysayan) sa Embahada Program is an initiative that aims to teach Filipino children who were born and raised in Bahrain. It was launched last October 11, with Filipino volunteer teachers and students seen in action during the first day of class.
The program is in line with the Embassy’s mandate to create Philippine cultural awareness among Filipino kids overseas. It will run for the next eight weeks, with a graduation ceremony to be held on the eighth week.
