The Philippine Embassy in Saudi Arabia has warned Filipinos in the kingdom to be wary of a certain organization identifying itself as a government entity.
The Philippine International Development Agency (PIDA), according to the Embassy, goes around the kingdom and telling Filipinos they are a legitimate government organization tasked to take on government projects for development in the Kingdom. The Embassy added that PIDA constantly for donations and solicitations to fund these so-called projects.
The National Intelligence Coordinating Agency has confirmed that PIDA is a bogus entity running a scam operation. In its “Stop 419 Scams and Scammers” List, they have added PIDA’s website www.pida-ph.org as a fake procurement system.
