Filipinos among those eligible for Saudi tourist visas

The Saudi Arabian government has granted the Philippines opportunity to request for tourist visa, according to its Ministry of Interior.

Filipinos and Americans are among nationalities allowed by Saudi Arabia since it announced that they will be issuing tourist visas for the first time. European countries were likewise allowed.

Previously, business, work and Hajj visas were allowed for visitors in the Middle East country.

The Saudi Ministry of interior however reminded Filipinos to observe public decency rules when visiting Saudi Arabia. This includes inappropriate clothing, public display of affection, loitering and getting photos and videos without permission.

Patrick Aro, consul general of the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh also reminded OFWs that gatherings between men and women are not allowed in Saudi Arabia.
