Kuwaiti MP slams local airlines for hiring Filipinos

A Kuwaiti member of parliament has criticized the local airlines over reports that it has just hired over 200 Filipinos instead of Kuwaitis.

Badr Al-Mulla said he had obtained information that flag carrier Kuwait Airways, one of the largest airlines in the region, has just recruited 227 Filipinos following a visit by a delegation from the carrier to the Philippines.

“Is it true that you have recruited that number of Filipinos….how can you do this while a large number of Kuwaitis are queuing for jobs,” he said on Twitter, according to the Kuwaiti Arabic language daily Al Rai.

Mulla and Al Rai did not make clear when the Kuwaiti airlines hired that number of Filipinos and in which job sector.

  3. Kuwaitis are asked to stay at home in private companies so they will not trouble other workers and still receiving the full salary .Those Kuwaitis working have 2 days off instead of 1 day for others .Is this MP have a brain to know that Kuwaitis will not accept Filipino salary level .I worked 20 yeas in Kuwait
