Kuwait airport’s Terminal 4 (T4) witnesses the launching of the first direct flight to New York City.
The new terminal has been operating for a year now.
Flight KU 117 is the seventh and last phase of operating the facility of the airport.
Last year, the terminal witnessed all flights of Kuwait Airways except New York.
Last year Terminal 4 inaugurated commercial flights to Bahrain followed by flights to Dubai.
The Terminal 4 now covers all Arab states. European flights to some of its cities were also launched late last year.
His Highness, the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah led the terminal’s inauguration in 2018.
Kuwait airport’s new terminal has generated 2,000 jobs to citizens and brought $60 million revenues.
The Korean Incheon International Airport manages the T4 facility.
