All court offices will no longer serve refreshments for its employees to increase productivity, Saudi Gazette reported.
In a circular, the Justice Ministry bans all courts as well as other affiliated departments to provide tea, coffee, and other drinks for the employees. This is to direct the employees into dedicating all their time to their work.
The circular also notes the removal of all coaches and the seats from the passages inside the court buildings, and that there should not be any cupboards or refrigerators around.
Judicial Studies professor Hassan Mohammed Safar said that the circular is a step in the right direction for employees of the courts and notary publics.
“Anything that may disturb the judges should be removed from the courts and the corridors,” he told Saudi Gazette.
