Saudi air forces intercepted two Houthi ballistic missiles over Taif, one heading toward Makkah and the other toward Jeddah, Saudi Gazette reported.
The report stated that the Kingdom’s air defense forces were able to destroy the missiles.
The Yemeni government said in a statement that it strongly condemns the attack on the holy site, dubbing it as a “a full-fledged terrorist act”.
