The Ambiance

Pancake House at World Trade Centre Mall has a wide comfortable space for their guests and diners, with their courteous wait staff ready to guide you to your tables. The restaurant even has a separate function hall that you can request for special gatherings.

Their a la carte menu is available all day long, with their selections of pancakes, waffles and more – but it’s during the evening when Filipinos from all around the Emirates begin to flock to have a taste of their Filipino viands and selections for the day at an affordable price point.

The Food

The buffet area is separated to four: Appetizers and Salad area, Main Course area, Desserts area and the Pancake request counter.

Their selections of appetizers feature their Sinigang soup and in other days, their famous Almondigas soup too! Included in the appetizers area is their Seafood Croquette, a make-your-own-salad station featuring freshly selected greens and vegetables, as well as what Pancake House coins as the ‘Best Taco in Town’ – which rings true to its words with its healthy bite of beef, vegetables, cheese and crunchy taco goodness.

True to a Filipino buffet, they feature two kinds of rice: Steamed Jasmine Rice and Garlic Rice, along with a pasta/noodle offering. That day we were served with their Hakka Noodles, their version of the pancit canton. And of course, Pancake House was also serving their popular Classic Pan Chicken that just oozes with juicy goodness especially when paired with their classic Gravy sauce. Their Ginataang Gulay paired really well with their Daing na Bangus – a pairing that immediately brought us back to the classic Pinoy kitchen meals at home. Other notable dishes included their Kung Pao Chicken and their Sweet and Sour Fish, and their dinner buffet is served with unlimited juices and iced tea as well!

No buffet is ever complete without an amazing dessert selection! Pancake House has their very own make-your-own Halo-halo station, as well as slices and their most popular cakes including their ube, chocolate, and Brazo de Mercedes. They also had slices of famous Pinoy snacks like the Buko Pandan, Maja Blanca and other kakanins.

What separates Pancake House from the rest of the restaurants out there is offering Unlimited Pancakes for their customers. You can easily request a number of pancakes that you’d like as well as toppings including (but not limited to) butter, syrups, milk chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, M&Ms, and more!

The Verdict

Pancake House has really taken the Filipino buffet to the next level with an awesome combination of a spacious area perfect for families and barkadas, upbeat and courteous staff, as well as their delicious offerings and unlimited pancakes for their buffet.  The total dining experience is surely something worth visiting once again with more friends and family to enjoy what a Filipino buffet is all about.

Pancake House’s all-Filipino food buffet is offered exclusively at their branch located at the World Trade Centre Mall in Abu Dhabi.
