LOOK: Dubai-based Filipino artist transforms Burberry’s monogram to massive land art

The Filipino’s eye for creativity shone on the international scene once again after Nathaniel Alapide created a monogram land art for the renowned British fashion house, Burberry.

The Filipino Times 2018 Artist of the Year shared that he was approached by the international brand to transform barren lands of sand with Burberry’s TB Summer Monogram.

“They wanted to incorporate their Thomas Burberry Monogram ( in a desert landscape) in honor of the new #TBSummerMonogram collection. I made a small scale model of the monogram in my studio and once I made it, I knew I can create it in a bigger scale,” revealed Alapide.

He expressed his gratitude for achieving this opportunity to collaborate with an international brand stating that it is a fulfillment of a dream and that working here in Dubai has made it possible to work on the steps to reach this milestone, stating that it gives hope for fellow artists, especially during these trying times.

“It is an honor to have been approached by Burberry and for them to support not only me but the creative industry in a time like this. I am really grateful. For me creating a monumental work like this is a realization of a dream that I had a few years ago,” said Alapide.
