Free webinar from TFT to provide medical advice for Filipinos across UAE

Filipinos in the UAE work mainly for the benefit of their families – but at some point, they tend to neglect their own needs, specifically their health. However, with the impact of COVID-19, many Filipinos have expressed hesitation to head towards hospitals and clinics due to the virus and its implications.

To help Filipinos make more informed decisions about their health and be more knowledgable about the changes and improvements in the UAE’s healthcare industry, The Filipino Times will be hosting a free webinar titled: “Usapang OFW: Alagang Pangkalusugan sa panahon ng COVID-19” happening this August 7, at 12:00 noon via Zoom interview at our official Facebook page.

This webinar will discuss the preventive measures that each medical institution is doing now that they’re COVID-19 free as well as the services that hospitals and clinics are now allowed to provide for the public.

Topics include healthcare guidance during the period of COVID-19, check-ups, surgeries and other medical services now available for the public, symptoms to check out for your own general health, and other COVID-19 safety reminders.

Guests speakers include Dr. Arlene Adarne Dagondon from NMC Deira, Dubai and Dr. Aileen Villanueva from Mediclinic Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Arlene Adarne Dagondon completed her Doctor of Medicine from FEU – Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation in the Philippines and has been practising in UAE for the past 10 years. With an extensive medical training in tertiary hospitals in the Philippines, Dr. Dagondon is now among NMC’s General Practitioners at their Deira, Dubai branch.

Dr. Aileen Villanueva is a medical practitioner with over 28 years of experience in the Philippines and the UAE. A recipient of The Filipino Times Awards 2018 Healthcare Professional of the Year, she has a special interest in women’s healthcare especially among Filipino women. Dr. Aileen is actively involved in various Filipino community affairs.

Filipino attendees of the free webinar can ask questions from the panel to help guide them regarding what medical services they can seek to ensure that they keep their bodies healthy during the summer.
