Plant husbands, are you one of them? Men share experience with wives obsessed with plants

A blogger in Australia recently went viral for his post about his wife’s obsession with and large purchases of plants—prompting many more husbands to share their own experiences being a “plant husband.”

Brad Kearns, the man behind the famous blog DadMum, shared how his wife Sarah came home with two giant palm trees for their bedroom. Aside from these palm trees, he also posted other photos of “invasive plants” around their house, including their dining table.

“Imagine this… You have friends over and there’s a delightful conversation happening. You’re distracted by the obnoxious devils ivy inside your nostrils so you begin pushing the strands away with your face,” he said.

However, he added that he could not say anything to his wife because he’s scared to talk ill about the plants.
“She looks at you like some gang boss and starts making death threats with nothing but her eyes. Legit she hears so much as the snap of a single leaf and I guarantee she will stab me,” said Brad.
His post encouraged other dads and husbands to post their own experience with their plant-obsessed wives, with some of them sharing photos of their homes completely overrun by leafy. branches.

Many of the husbands said that while it looked like they were coming into the jungle, it made it easier for them to buy presents for their wives.

“The only positive thing out of this is she’s a lot easier to buy presents for. Buy her a plant and she’s happy,” commented one of the husbands.
