Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla teased neighbor Governor Ramil Hernandez for closing the borders of Laguna.

In a post over his official Facebook page, Remulla said even he, as a governor, was not allowed entry from Laguna checkpoints when Hernandez ordered lockdown of the entire Laguna province.

“Dear gob Ramil, Ganyanan na ha. Dehins ako pinalusot Ng checkpoint mula Bgy. Inchikan, Silang, Papunta Nuvali.

Dehins is a street slang word for “hindi” and “werpa” means “power.”

Kami dito: General Trias; General Aguinaldo; General Mariano Alvarez. Nilikha kami sa digmaan,” Remulla said.

He then cautioned the Laguna chief against passing the South Luzon Expressway wherein Cavite has jurisdiction over a segment in Dr. Jose P. Rizal Highway before exiting to Metro Manila.

Iyong dating kaibigan, Gob. Jonvic,” he added.

In the end was Remulla’s clincher: “P.S. joke lang po ito. Even governors observe quarantine procedures. Dapat lahat tayo.”

Gov. Hernandez did not waste time replying in his own Facebook page, too.

“Dear GOV. JONVIC,

Mag-unawaan tayo.”

The humorous banter posts of the two governors have gone viral, with combined share of 29,000 as of this writing. In Twitter, #Cavite became the top trending topic. Netizens noted that the teases were a relief or “pampa-good vibes” from the stresses of local governance in the wake of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
