Kalinga-based youth group creates improvised masks for COVID frontliners

A youth group is distributing improvised masks designed to protect the entire face in Tabuk, Kalinga province.
The masks are made of hard plastic, a ribbon, and foam by members of the Youth For Peace and Development Movement (YFPDM).

These are designed to complement the use of surgical mask by personnel who are at the forefront of the campaign to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease or the COVID-19.
“As responsible and empowered youth, let us all contribute to be a part of the solution, not be part of the problem,” said YFPDM President Clark Ernie A. Gallema.

“In these trying times, the youth needs to be accountable – not just merely looking for accountability; to act, not just to criticize,” he added.
