Philippine Ambassador to the UAE, H.E. Hjayceelyn Quintana, shared that overseas Filipinas in the UAE and around the world are cherished wholeheartedly by their families and loved ones back home.

In a message to The Filipino Times for International Women’s Day, Quintana reminded her fellow Filipinas that their stories are celebrated every day, and not just during specific celebrations.

“For many Filipinos overseas, women aren’t just celebrated in the month of March, nor only during the International Women’s Day. With almost a million Filipinos in the UAE and many more in other countries, majority of whom are women, each face paints a picture of their unique stories: A mother who reluctantly left her children in her sacrifice to give them better lives; a daughter who endures being away from her loving family to support their financial needs; female professionals who aim high to climb their career ladders; female business owners and leaders ready to make a difference, and many more,”

She furthered that the UAE provides equal opportunities for many women who wish to spearhead noticeable, positive change within their communities and the society as a whole.

“These are but some of the many stories of Filipinas who are ready to make sacrifices for their loved ones, and the UAE presents a ripe opportunity for these passionate and driven women to make their mark in this country with their innovative and game-changing ideas,” said Quintana.

Quintana also congratulated Filipinas who have begun their trailblazing steps towards success in the country and assured the Philippine Embassy’s full support for their endeavours: “We already have several success stories of Filipinas making it big here in the UAE, and the Philippine Embassy wishes to extend its full support for all Filipinas who are ready to bring world-class ideas to fruition for the global stage,” shared Quintana.
