Top things to check to ensure security, safety at your property

As more and more Filipinos consider buying investments in the form of properties, among the top considerations that they have is the security and safety of the property that they buy.
For instance, condo owners usually immediately ask about property’s security guard availability and CCTV operations which is among the areas of topics that will be discussed at the upcoming Philippine Property and Investment Exhibition (PPIE), the biggest, longest running and most trusted Philippine business and investment forum in the Middle East. Now on its eighth edition, PPIE will be held this coming April 10-11, 2020 at Crowne Plaza – Sheikh Zayed Road.

Concerns on security and safety come as no surprise for many property developers as this is largely due to the large amount of investment that each and every OFW will be sending and ensuring to pay for every single month once they commit to the purchase.
These are the top things to check to ensure your ideal condo and/or home is secure:
Security Guards. Both gated communities and private subdivisions should have a security guard available 24/7, preferably even more as one security guard does rounds, while the other should be stationed at the main entry way all the time.
CCTV should cover major areas. Closed circuit television cameras (CCTV), as efficient as they are in helping to monitor key areas, should also ensure that blind spots are covered so that residents would feel safer within their communities.
Know your neighbors. While living in private condos and/or homes might be ideal as you stay cooped up within your home, it also helps to at least have a quick chat with your neighbor – but don’t get too comfortable immediately as you should also be wary of your new surroundings.
Surveillance systems should be updated. Apart from the CCTV, the entire surveillance system should be updated to the current standards to ensure that crucial, quality footage will be retrievable in case the occasion calls for it.
